Regency Assurance continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community through the sponsorship of "Eli’s Vocal Training Classes," a significant addition to the Youth Impact 12 Awards program in Nevis. This initiative is a part of Regency Assurance's broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, aligned with the company’s CSR pledge and the United Nations Global Compact.
This year marks the second consecutive year that Regency Assurance has supported the expansion of the Youth Impact 12 Awards program, an initiative established by the Department of Youth in Nevis. The program, named after Mr. Eliesel Ramirez-Dorsett, a recipient of the 2023 Youth Impact 12 Award for Performing Arts, aims to empower young people in Nevis by providing them with opportunities to explore and develop their artistic talents.
"Eli’s Vocal Training Classes" offers an inclusive platform for young people to access professional vocal training. Under the guidance of professional vocalist Ms. Venelle Powell, participants engage in a series of classes covering essential topics such as breathing techniques, diction, and the anatomy of the voice. The program culminated in a recital and graduation ceremony, where participants showcased their newfound skills and celebrated their achievements.
The program’s objectives align closely with several United Nations Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in promoting well-being through music and empowering youth to pursue artistic careers.
Kate Tebbet, Head of Community Engagement at Regency Assurance, highlighted the importance of this initiative: “At Regency Assurance, we believe in the transformative power of music and the arts. By supporting Eli’s Vocal Training Classes, we are not only nurturing young talent but also fostering a sense of community and well-being among the youth of Nevis. This program reflects our ongoing commitment to creating positive, lasting impacts in the communities we serve.”
